R. 6011 Affordable Homeless Housing Incentive Act of 2020: Basically an amendment to the IRS Code of 1986 which would not recognize, for tax purposes, any profit for selling real estate for the purpose of creating affordable housing. Introduced in the House on February 27, 2020 by Adam Schiff (D-CA)

H.R. 5185 Green New Deal for Public Housing Act. Introduced into House November 19, 2019 by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and referred to House Committee on Financial Services. Sponsor of the bill provided intro remarks on December 5, 2019 citing the bill’s purpose is to increase maintenance and safety of old public housing and to build 12 million new homes within 10 years. Also re-introducing the Rent Relief Act introduced by Kamala Harris (D-CA) in 2018 to provide a refundable tax credit for families paying more than 30% of their income for rent.
